Biography: Joel’s parents are both film fanatics AND musicians, which explains why both cinema and music have been in his DNA since the beginning. Joel has always been drawn to stories and says that the key to any music video or film is always the story. He started writing his own stories and reacting to the ones he saw on the silver screen at an early age. Joel published his first review in the late ’90’s with the help of voice-activated software, while recovering from hand surgery! That review, which ran in his local paper, was for Almost Famous. Almost two decades later, Joel has penned movie reviews for thousands of films, reached millions of readers, and his passion for the medium has grown and taken him around the world—from Rio to Paris and more.
