Jana Jill Monji
Biography: Jana Monji is a native Southern Californian who is often mistaken for a foreigner. She has written for the LA Times, the LA Weekly and the Pasadena Weekly and currently writes for AsAm News and RogerEbert.com. She is a Tomatometer-approved critic. Her original college major was intaglio etching, but she finished with a BA in Asian Studies and Studio Art from UCSB. She matched this with two MAs: East Asian Languages and Cultures from UCLA and Print Journalism from University of Southern California. When not watching television programs or films, she’s obsessing about dogs (especially collies) or pies. She has lived the Best in Show experienced at the more local level and she does have super powers best used with dogs.
