Biography: Danielle Broadway is a screenwriter, journalist and activist from Stockton, CA who worked as an Entertainment and Arts intern for the Los Angeles Times in 2021. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English from Cal State Long Beach with bylines in the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Black Girl Nerds, Allure, USA TODAY, Teen Vogue and more. She’s also been a panelist at San Diego Comic Con, featured on KQED Forum and a screenwriter for the PBS documentary series called “Subcultured.”
Favorite Films: All the Marvel movies, but especially Captain America: Civil War and all Ghibli movies, but especially Princess Mononoke. Pan’s Labyrinth, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the OG Star Wars films (no prequels or sequels), and Nappily Ever After.
Favorite TV Shows:All the Marvel ones, especially WandaVision, Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, THE BOYS, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Queen’s Gambit, Lovecraft Country, Watchmen, Seinfeld, Sex and the City, Insecure, The Simpsons and a lot of anime.
