Biography: A lifelong lover of entertainment and those who make it, Andrea is a New York-based journalist whose work has been featured in publications such as Entertainment Weekly, IGN, Variety, Nerdist, Mashable, The Wrap, Uproxx, Polygon, Bustle, and many more outlets. With over a decade of experience writing, consuming, and marketing pop culture, Andrea enjoys using her work to highlight “the stories behind the stories”: the personal deep dives into why and how a character, actor, or piece of pop culture is impactful. Andrea has covered opening nights of Broadway shows, reported on Marvel film releases, interviewed some of Hollywood’s top talent, and broken exclusives across the industry. She received her Masters in Journalism from Northwestern University. Andrea’s debut nonfiction book Geek Girls Don’t Cry: Real-Life Lessons From Fictional Female Characters was published in 2019. When she’s not watching or writing about movies and television, she can be found playing Dungeons & Dragons and cosplaying everything from superheroes to niche Linda Cardellini characters.
